Since ancient times, the egg has been considered a token of love and friendship ... a symbol of new life, vitality... and good fortune !

The Egg ... Mother Nature's Gift of Love

Made by Kathleen Kendall

This is a Marilyn Powers design.
It is made out of Venice/Venise Lace, Swarovski Crystals, Porcelain Flowers, and Pearls.
I put my own twist to Marilyn's design and I hope you enjoy my twist to her already beautiful basket.
The color of the egg is a Teal color and the lace is dyed in different colors of greens and lavenders.  The crystals are Aurora Borealis and the porcelain flowers are multiple colored.  Inside the basket are the different types of chicken eggs designed by me and a button quail egg.  Thanks Marilyn for getting my creative juices flowing.

Did you know  ...

Eggs were buried under foundations of buildings to ward off evil.

Eggs are symbols of life and fertility. Easter eggs symbolize the resurrection and the renewal of life that comes with spring.

Easter eggs planted in vineyards were supposed to guard vines against thunder and hail.

It is an old courting custom to present beautifully decorated eggs to a favored sweetheart or suitor.

Golden eggs symbolize great fortune to recipients.

In days of old, it was said that any egg laid on Friday would cure a stomach ache.

Thanks for Looking
